Terms of Use

Effective date: 17 September 2026

Short terms for a site that sells nothing, collects nothing and asks nothing of you. They set out what this site is, what it is not, and the limits of what we can be responsible for.

1. Who these terms are with

This website is published by Human Protection s.r.o., Purkyňova 953, 250 82 Úvaly, Czech Republic, company number 09160264, VAT CZ09160264, trading as Arcadia Group and contactable at info@arcadiagroup.online. Reading the site means these terms apply to your use of it.

2. The site is informational

Everything here is general information about consumer desktop antivirus software, published for a general audience in Australia. It is not professional advice, it is not security advice tailored to your circumstances, it is not legal advice about your consumer rights, and it is not a substitute for the advice of a qualified adviser who knows your situation.

We do not know what is on your computer, what you use it for, or what obligations apply to you. Decisions you make after reading this site are your own.

3. Product information changes

Software products, their features, their tiers, their terms and their prices change frequently and without notice to us. We publish no prices and no test scores for exactly that reason, and information on this site may still become out of date between reviews. Before purchasing anything, check the current details on the vendor's own website, which is the only authoritative source for what is being sold today.

4. Paid links

Some pages contain links to a software vendor for which Arcadia Group is paid a commission if you create and activate an account. Those links are labelled where they appear, and the arrangement is described in full on our affiliate disclosure page. We are not a party to any contract you enter into with a vendor, and we cannot cancel, refund, amend or support anything you buy.

5. External links

This site links to vendor websites, independent testing laboratories and Australian government agencies. Those sites are operated by other organisations, and we do not control their content, availability, accuracy or practices. A link is not an endorsement, and once you follow one, that site's own terms and privacy policy apply instead of ours.

6. Trade marks and content

Avast and all other product names, logos and brands mentioned on this site are the property of their respective owners, and are used only to identify and describe those products. Arcadia Group is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

The text, layout, stylesheet, script and illustrations on this site are our own work and remain our property. You may read, print and quote from them with attribution and a link. Republishing pages wholesale, or reproducing the site's design, is not permitted without our written agreement.

7. Availability

We make no commitment that the site will be available without interruption or free of errors. It may be unavailable during maintenance, and pages may be revised, replaced or removed at any time.

8. Liability, and what is not excluded

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that applies under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a guarantee applies to anything we supply and cannot be excluded, our liability is limited, where the law permits, to supplying the relevant information again.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, information published here, or from your use of any website we link to. That includes decisions about which software to buy, and the outcome of any purchase you make from a vendor.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission explains consumer guarantees at accc.gov.au.

9. Privacy

The site collects nothing through its pages, sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The detail is in our privacy policy and our cookie policy.

10. Changes to these terms

Revised terms are published on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the site after that date means the revised terms apply.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, where the publisher is established, and the courts there have jurisdiction. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, including, for readers in Australia, rights under the Australian Consumer Law and the ability to pursue a complaint through the appropriate Australian body.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms: info@arcadiagroup.online, or by post to the address in section 1. Our contact page explains what we can and cannot help with.
